Kara Haberstock Tanoue is a community-based researcher and evaluator at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. She has a background in geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial analysis, specializing in developing measures of access to community resources. Her research interests include the use of GIS and geospatial modeling to guide community resource allocation for public health and community development. When not in the lab, Kara enjoys hiking, cycling, and backyard gardening in the Tucson area with her husband, Nathan, and their dogs, Watson and Zella.
